For my cousin

Here's a card I made today. I intend to give it to my cousin who is coming here in SG to visit me. She's from the US and since I know it's a lot cheaper to buy scrapbooking stuff in the US, I purchased a few items online and she's bringing it here for me.. which saves me some shipping $$$!!:) I'm just sooooo excited to get my purchases and use them!!!:)

A Card and a Layout!

Can't believe I was able to finish a card and a layout today!:) I don't think I've done it before..:P And I'm quite happy with my outputs..;)

I love the paper I used for this LO, I won it in a challenge (unfortunately, I forgot which one).. But whoever gave this to me, thanks so much! love it!:) I cut part of the car design so that it won't get hidden by my LO's design:

• Scrap it with a Song - The Way You Make Me Feel - Aside from using a part of the lyrics (Pretty Baby), the song title just suits me at the moment..:) Being a first time mom, everyday I'm still amazed at my precious miracle! There are days where I feel like I'm in an emotional roller coaster ride all because of my pretty baby..;)

Happy birthday, Mom!

It is my mom's birthday this July 19, and I thought of making a birthday card for her for a change..:P And here's what I came up with:

A first for my baby

My first LO for my baby Toby! He was born last May 15 and I just can't wait to scrap with him as my subject.. Unfortunately, didn't know newborns take most of your time.. ahaha!! I thought I'll have a lot of time to scrap.. ;)

Anyways, glad I was able to finish one though..:)

Flower Embellie

I just recently bought a scallop puncher.. I've been wanting to buy one for a while now, b'coz I'm excited to make all those flower embellies I see from other sites.. And so now that I have one, here's one card I made with a flower embellie I made:

I just love how the flower looks!:) can't wait to make more of these..:P

Had my 1st blog hop with Colorful Creations last weekend.. I wasn't able to complete all 7 challenges.. but I was able to make 3 cards despite having very little free time to scrap...:)

This one is for a 'Button' challenge.. I also used Get Sketchy's sketch#47.. I just love love LOVE how this card came out!:)


Can you guess the challenge for this one?... BLING much?!?;) hehe!! And it also requires that the card shows a celebration.. I also used Card Patterns' Sketch#73 for this one.. First time I did a "diamond" card..:)

I got my prize RAK for winning a challenge at Colorful Creations last night! I just love 'em! I got so excited with it that I decided to scrap last night (which I usually do on weekends only, when I have more time :P)... haha!!

However, I ended up not being able to use any of the stuff... hehe!! Not because I didn't want to use them.. only because I decided to do a color combo challenge from Colorful Creations, and the colors of the candies are different..:P But, I'm sure I'll be using them very soon!;)

I am just sooo happy with the card I made last night..:) I was able to try out a few things that are fairly new to me..:P I just love how the card came out!!!

So, without further ado, here's my very chic and cutey card:



Not sure if you can see it in that 2nd picture above, but I added some pink chalk around the edges of the my paper where the butterfly image is.. Still not sure if I'm using my chalks right.. LOL! But I sure love that misty/vignette/shimmery effect it gave my image..:P And then for that butterfly, I paper-pieced the wings since I don't have markers yet for coloring stamp images.. ehehe!!

I also (just recently) bought a Martha Stewart edge puncher which I used in this card.. only my 2nd time to use it.. this is my very first edge puncher! and of course I also bought the matching corner puncher... hehe!

And then my card opens like this:

I normally just do the usual 1-fold cards.. ehehe!! I think this is only my 2nd time to do a 2-fold card.. I haven't really tried to be very creative with my card's orientation and folds yet.. still getting myself used to doing the card's design first.. LOL!!!!

1. OCC Sketch Blog - I slept at 1am this morning just to be able to submit my entry on time for this sketch! LOL! I even don't have this blog post yet.. just pasted my card and a promise to update this post, just so I can meet the deadline.. ahaha!! because it already happened to me twice, I already finished the card, and then I didn't have enough time to blog.. then ended up not being able to enter my card..:( Anyway, here is their very very cute sketch#16:

4. Pile It On - Challenge#20: Out of the box. How I did my card based from OCC's sketch is entirely from a different perspective or "out of the box" for me..:)
5. Cupcake Craft Challenge - Theme#92: Black & Grey Plus 1 Colour Choice. Obviously my choice color is PINK! Hihihi!;)
6. There She Goes - TSG56: On The Edge. When I saw their new challenge, I really got excited! Because as I mentioned earlier, I just bought my very first edge puncher! LOL! Their requirement is for your card to have these TWO features: altered corners (i used my rounded corner punch) and a border punch (the flower punch) on one of the layers..:P Lovely, right?;)
7. Crazy Challenge - CCH#16: It's A Girl Thing!
8. Inky Impressions - Challenge#35: F.L.O.W.E.R.S. In this card, I used F - flower punch (I hope this counts.:P), O - for my polka dot paper, and S - for that sparkly pink gems..:)

A Card & A Bookmark

I didn't go to work today, had to use up my leaves coz I resigned... and so I was able to scrap!! Yipeeeeeee!! ehehehe!!

Was happy with how my card turned out.. and it's my first time to make a matching bookmark!:) I looooove to read pocketbooks, so I'll be definitely making more bookmarks..;) Anyway, here they are:
