A-Z: letter 'C'

I had two entries for letter 'C'...:P I really wanted to just submit a picture of my mini-Coca Cola collection.. but I wasn't too happy with my shots, hence the 2nd entry..;) hehe!! anyway...

Here's my first 'C' for Coca Cola (Collection). I love Coca Cola items!! I have a small collection, but most of them are back home in the Philippines. These miniature bottles in the picture is part of a set bought by my hubby for me from his trip to the World of Coca Cola last August in Atlanta...:)


My second 'C' is for Colors. These are just a couple of the coloring materials I have for my crafting: colored pencils & watercolors...:)

A-Z: letter 'B'

As I mentioned in my previous post, hubby & I created a fan page in Facebook for a photography activity. This week, we're doing letter 'B'. And here is my entry:


B for Bold and Beautiful Birthday girl in Black & white..;) hehe! How's that for 'B'?..;)

She's my sister (and Best friend), Jasmin.. She has been asking me to take a picture of her in B&W for the longest time.. Finally, I was able to do it..:P and coincidentally, she celebrated her birthday last Tuesday too.. hehe!

Time for "Photos"

We sold my DSLR last year... and then I got hooked on scrapbooking...;) so the unavoidable ending.. neglected my photography and been doing a lot of "Scraps" post... and so for a change..

I am doing a "Photos" post this time.. hehe!

I used my hubby's camera on this one.. We started a photography activity on Facebook where we invited all our photographer friends to join in.. It's called 'A-Z Just For Fun' fan page. Every Monday (we started last Monday, May 3), we get a new letter.. And those who want to join should shoot a subject that starts with that letter.. ex. A for Apple, B for Boxing, etc.. Then post it on the Fan Photos..:) As the title says, it's just for fun.. no prizes to be won.. no winners..:)

This activity gave me the chance to shoot again..:) At the same time not take too much of my time, since it's a weekly activity.. and we just need to be able to take at least one picture per week/letter..;)

So obviously, we start with 'A' (duh!).. ehehe!! And here's my take:


A for Affection... and/or Anthony (my hubby's name)..;) hehe!!

The Ugly Duckling

Yes, this LO I made is like the "ugly duckling".. It started as part of a challenge at the Creative Divas' site called Ugly Paper Layout Challenge, where participants will send 2 of their ugliest papers to another person... then that person is supposed to create a layout using only those papers.. and here are the papers I got:

I honestly feel I got lucky with mine.. haha!! at least they match..;) They just looked "stained", which I was told by the sender was supposed to give the papers an "antique" feel.. Guess that's part of the reason why she felt they were ugly! hehe!

And then, hubby and I are currently studying strobing.. and we sometimes practice taking pictures of things.. then I thought of another challenge (still from Creative Divas) where it asks us to include in our LO ALL the 26 letters of the alphabet.. so I thought of taking this picture:

And of course, as always, the beautiful layout from Sketchy Thursdays: (unfortunately, I wasn't able to submit this at Sketchy Thurs, on time..:( I dunno what's with me lately, I seem to have lost my sense of time..:-S)

And so, combining everything... here's my layout:


Talk about turning trash into something, huh?..;) To compliment those "stained" markings on the papers (which is more evident on the blue striped paper), I decided to try the distressing technique for the first time..:P It made that second paper pop out in my opinion.. and then luckily, the blue gel we used to take that strobe shot perfectly matched my papers!:) Love how they all came together really well...:)

Update (March 22): My LO was chosen as the winner for the OhScrap!!!!~Use ALL 26 Letters of the Alphabet Challenge at the CSD!!:) I don't think I won any prize, but just being named the winner and having someone appreciate what I've done is already a great honor for a beginner like me...;) Happy happy!:)

Maternity Shoot - Stacey Tan Gana-Bravo

It's been a looooong time since I've posted anything in this blog. Sorry about that.. Been really busy with all the wedding preps.. yeah, I know excuses, excuses.... ehehe!! But, I'll definitely try to post more often...:) I also might change the name of this blog site.. but until I've thought of it's new name, this will do for now..;) ehehe!

My first nightscape shoot - Jans

Had my first photo shoot with Tonio and a couple of his friends at Clarke Quay & Boat Quay last Thursday night... It was quite a challenge for me to take night pictures but hopefully with more practice I'll get the hang of it...;) ehehe!!

So, just to share, here are a few pictures that came out ok..;) Used Tamron 28-75 f2.8 on a Nikon D50.
